So, what does a Social Media Manager do?

Social Media Manager

  • Manage all social media activities including campaigns and day-to-day activities
  • Understand and execute strategy against specified business goals
  • Manage presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
  • Drive social influencer outreach
  • Create and execute a blog writing engaging articles and posts to promote products and website content
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content and handle or escalate appropriately
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across the Company
  • Work with the other departments to ensure social media tools (for ex. FB connect, Sharing buttons) are kept up to date
  • Measurement
    • Develop and implement social media performance reporting measures / standards to assess and analyze the reach and impact of online and social media presence
    • Generate regular reports to determine return on investment
    • Conduct competitive analysis of social media channels.
  • Monitor trends in social media, tools, strategies and applications, and provide recommendations on applying this knowledge
