Over the course of his career, Mitch has led data and AI initiatives that delivered $250 million in measurable value. His experience includes more than 20 years in healthcare technology, having helped drive the digital transformation of over 40 hospitals, 80 physician practices, six health plans, and three research institutes.
Prior to joining Techstra, Mitch was the Chief Data and Analytics Officer for Marshfield Clinic Health System, where he designed and implemented one of the first large-scale AI governance programs in a U.S. healthcare organization. At Highmark Health (a member of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association), he supported enterprise data management and data governance, built an enterprise-focused big data analytic platform, and led a program to establish the enterprise’s first Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) repository to store and standardize clinical data from external Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and Health Information Exchanges (HIEs). He also oversaw the consolidation of eight data platforms into a new enterprise data platform, Living Health, in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

He specializes in data transformation, platform modernization and optimization, information governance, data products, and ROI frameworks for data and AI investments.
